Job description
We are looking for a dedicated assistant playworker to join our team in providing children with a safe and fun environment. This is a part-time opportunity of 16 hours per week, term time only. However, positions with fewer hours are also available.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the Club Manager and peers in supervising and engaging with children
Ensure that the club runs in line with the National Minimum Standards and Regulations set out by the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW).
Helping to plan and implement activities (aged from 4-12 years old) that promote development while considering Health and Safety aspects
Provide a light snack and drink to the children
Tidy away at the end of the night
Assisting in maintaining a clean and organised play area
Building positive relationships with children and their families
Adhering to all policies and procedures to ensure safety and compliance

Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the children
Desirable
Previous experience within a childcare setting and/or qualifications in Playwork is advantageous but not necessary as training will be given (cost covered by Employer).
