Welcome to Rhiwbina's After School Club!

As the main provider of after school care for Rhiwbina Primary School, RASCALS welcomes both you and your child with open arms.

Founded since 1995, we have continuously aimed to provide the best level of childcare possible. As a team of five, we work together to ensure that every pupil that walks through our doors is happy and well looked after. Our mission is to provide both affordable and accessible childcare for children atttending Rhiwbina Primary School, whose parents wish to collect them later than 3:30pm.

RASCALS strive to provide a happy caring environment for both boys and girls with the help of qualified play workers who can create an extended family atmosphere. We have policies on equal opportunities, health and safety, behaviour and discipline, fire drill, first aid and major accident, which reflect the way in which the club is run.

The building in which we hold our sessions has been inspected and approved for our use by the Care Inspectorate Wales. The club is registered in accordance with the requirements laid down by the 1989 Children Act and the Minimum Standards for Out of School Care, Child Minding and Day Care regulations (2002). The team have appropriate first aid and food hygiene certificates, so you can rest knowing your children are in the right hands.

We provide a light snack that encourages healthy eating. Additionally, at all times, we have fresh water available.

Any kitchen staff hold a Food and Safety Qualification, and as a setting we are delighted to announce that we have obtained a Level 5 Food Hygiene Rating.

We charge £11 per session per child.

Here at RASCALS, we want to make sure that the children we look after are constantly entertained.

That means we are always buying new toys, thinking of new games and organising craft workshops that are run by external organisations.

We have one of the widest range of facilities of any after-school club in Cardiff.
